There are two possible reasons why your vehicle might be in financed.

The owner is still paying off the vehicle
The vehicle is used as a security for another loan

How do I know if my car is being financed?

The easiest way to know is to go to the nearby Road Authority and ask, however a small fee might be involved.

What do I do if my car is financed?

Generally speaking, if the vehicle is under the financed title because the owner has not finish paying it off, then he/she is not eligible to apply for a loan with us.
If the vehicle is under financed because it is used as a security for another loan, then it is of owner’s responsibility to follow up.

If you believe you have paid off the previous loan, then you will need to speak with that loan provider and ask them to take their name off your vehicle. If the other loan is not paid off, you will be able to obtain a loan with us using the same vehicle as a security only if your case is strong; in other words, you have a high income and a clear credit record.
